Douglas Adams quote

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."
— Douglas Adams

Sometimes I wonder that even if we did create an AI, if it doesn't come with all of the bizarre preprogrammed mental baggage that humans have to make adapting to such a strange existence possible, would it act like anything we associate with "normal" intelligence at all? Would it even be recognizable as intelligent?
